1. Inorganic chemistry (metal)

a. Extraction of Iron and its compounds b. Extraction of Zinc and it's componds

2. Physical Chemistry.

a. Volumetric (titration, end point , equivalent point, indicator and choice of indicator) and related problems.

b. Ionic equilibrium (solubility product , solubility product principle , pH and related problems)

c. Chemical kinetics (rate of reaction, average rate of reaction , instantaneous rate of reaction, rate of reaction and stoichiometric coefficient , rate law , order of reaction , molecularity and related problem)

d. Electrochemistry ( Electrolysis,mechanism , criteria of product formation, Faradays law and related problem).

3. Organic chemistry. ( Lab. Preparation of chloroform and nitrobenzene)

a. Amine –i. Classification, Nomenclature and Isomerism.

ii) General method of preparation/Lab. preparation of aniline

iii) Physical properties

iv)Chemical properties: Ammonia and amine,10,20,30 amine ,aromatic and aliphatic,Rxn with mineral acid,Rxn with Cu++ and Ag+,Alkylation and acylation benzoylation,Carbylamine reaction,Rxn with aldehyde/Ketone,Rxn with Nitrous acid,Rxn with benzene sulphonyl chloride,Diazocoupling rxn with aniline,oxidation with aniline,ESR(Nitration,halogenation,Sulphonation),Hoffmann’s separation.

b.Ether:-i. Classification,Nomenclature and Isomerism,preparation(dehydration with conc. H2S04/Al203),Williamson ether synthesis,Lab preparation of diethylether,Chemical properties (Halogenation,Formation of epoxide,Oxonium salt,Rxn with HI/dil H2SO4/PX3,Electrophilic substitution rxn).

c.Alcohol:-General method of preparation,Idustrial process(Oxo-process,Fermentation and Hydroboration of ethane),Physical properties,Chemical properties(Rxn with HX,PX3,PX5,SOCl2,Rxn with metal,Esterification,Dehydration of alcohol,Oxidation,Lab test-Iodoform and esterification,alcoholic beverage,preparation and uses of ethane-1,2-diol and propane-1,2,3-triol and Victor meyer’s method of identificationof 10,20 1nd 30 alcohol.

d.Phenol:-preparation from chlorobenzene,benzenediazonium chloride and sodium salt of benzene sulphonic acid,Chemical properties(Acidic properties compared with alcohol,Rxn with PCl5,PX3,NH3,Zn,Na,Acylation,Kolbe”s rxn,

e. Benzene(preparation,Friedal craft rxn,ozonolysis),Overlapping,Sigma and pi bond,Hybridization(SP,SP2 and SP3,the shape of molecule on the basis of hybridization-NH3,H2O,ethane,ethyne etc.}
