The National School of Sciences (NSS) is a premier education institute managed by the NIST Foundation that was established nearly three decades ago. The core objectives of the foundation, as an apex body, have been to establish education institutions, and provide students academic programmes from pre–school to high school to university. Today, there are nine academic institutions under the NIST Foundation across the Valley, and they offer different academic programmes such as Science, Management, IT, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Microbiology among others. I attribute the success of the institutions to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our teachers, admin staff and leadership team and trust and support of parents, students and other stakeholders. During this long academic journey, thousands of students have graduated from the National School of Sciences, let alone other institutions under the NIST Foundation. In the constantly changing context brought about by digital technology, uncertainty and global …

What Our Alumni Speak …
I remember the first day I randomly walked into NIST to get the form for entrance test even though I had been selected for admission at St. Xavier’s College, as the turning point of my life. Those two years spent with wonderful friends and inspiring teachers built me the strong foundation of my professional achievements today.
My advice to all of my younger, brother and sister students, is to be punctual, on time, hard-working, diligent, focused, disciplined and to build a close rapport with your seniors in order to ensure your life, career, goals are on track. Do not forget your mother institution NSS, for the contributions made, to shape your future. God bless us.
These days, whenever I pass through Lainchour, it strikes a chord deep in my heart, remembering the times, growing up and studying at NSS. I am indebted to my teachers and staff at NSS for providing the conducive academic atmosphere for us aspiring students.
What I miss the most, of my high school days at NSS is the cohort of close friends and associates. Each and everyone one of us have gone on in our lives and are now established professionals in different walks of life, but I am sure all of us will agree when I say that, NSS has contributed majorly in shaping us into who we are today. I could never thank enough, all of my mentors and friends at NSS for the support and care, I was provided.
